Blended Learning
A blended class style, particularly for the American Heart Association (AHA) eLearning and blended learning courses, combines the best of both traditional classroom teaching and online learning. Here’s a description of how it works:
Online Learning: The first part of the course is conducted online. This allows students to complete the theoretical component of the course at their own pace, anytime and anywhere they have internet access. The AHA’s eLearning platform provides interactive lessons, videos, and quizzes to ensure understanding of the material.
In-Person Skills Session: After completing the online portion, students then attend an in-person skills session with an AHA Instructor. This session is focused on hands-on practice and skills testing. It’s an opportunity for students to apply what they’ve learned online in a practical setting, under the guidance of a certified instructor.
